Foundation in Management

AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME
- To provide foundational knowledge in management principles and practices.
- To develop critical analytical skills essential for decision-making in business contexts.
- To foster interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective teamwork and leadership.

Open to all local and international students with the requirements below:

- Passed Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia – SPM)/O-Level with a minimum of 5 credits in any subject;
- Passed UEC with at least B Grade in any 3 subjects; OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.

- FREE tuition fees – Foundation programme scholarship (Biasiswa Program Asas)

Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to:
- Acquire basic knowledge and principles of business management, accounting and finance.
- Apply theoretical understanding and practical skills to interpret and solve problems related to business management, accounting, finance, and information technology.
- Apply oral and written communication effectively in a group.
- Demonstrate an effective entrepreneurial skill to operate the business using current knowledge and technology that meets the industry’s demand.
- Demonstrate behaviour that reflects good (added) values in the learning process.

Many students who complete the Foundation in Management programme pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Human Resource, Marketing, Finance and other business-related studies. Graduates with business studies can have a wide range of careers ahead such as bankers, accountants, lecturers, business owners, human resource managers, etc. Students may also use their knowledge and skills to start their business ventures. The programme equips them with a good understanding of business principles and management practices, which can be valuable for entrepreneurs. With a foundation in management, individuals may pursue careers in sales and marketing, working as sales representatives, marketing coordinators, or digital marketing specialists. Graduates may find opportunities in customer service roles, where their understanding of management principles can be applied to enhance customer satisfaction and relations.
